Our Story

Hi, I’m Stephanie Mejias Kline—a bilingual dance educator, mom, and passionate believer in the power of movement to shape confident, creative humans.

With over a decade of experience teaching dance to children and a background in professional performance, I founded ELEVE Movement Studio to create a space where young children can grow through movement, language, and imagination. As both a teacher and a parent, I understand how powerful those early years are, and how much joy, care, and artistry kids deserve in their learning spaces.

ELEVE, inspired by the ballet term élevé (“to rise”), was born from a desire to merge my two lifelong passions: dance and storytelling. At ELEVE, we celebrate the beauty of bilingualism, the richness of multicultural stories, and the confidence that comes from expressive, joyful movement.

Opening our doors in Portage Park, a neighborhood I deeply love, feels like coming home. This studio is a dream grounded in community, and I can’t wait to welcome your family into it.

Our Focus

Movement & Expression rooted in Classical Ballet

We introduce ballet in age-appropriate, creative ways that invite children to explore movement with imagination and joy. Rooted in tradition, our classes are designed to help young dancers rise with grace, purpose, and play.

Confidence and Community Building

We create a space where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated. Through movement, collaboration, and creative expression, children build confidence from the inside out. Our classes foster a sense of belonging, where friendships grow, voices are heard, and each dancer rises as part of a joyful, connected community.

Spanish
Immersion

Dance is a language. Our bilingual classes introduce Spanish through songs, stories, helping children connect to sound, meaning, and expression as they dance. Through gentle immersion, kids gain confidence in both movement and language, naturally and joyfully.

Sharing our Stories on Stage

At ELEVE, performance is more than a polished routine, it’s a celebration of growth, imagination, and courage. We guide children through the process of sharing their movement stories with confidence and pride, always honoring their individual pace and creativity. Whether it's a small in-studio showing or a seasonal showcase, our performances are joyful reflections of each dancer’s journey

Artistry Development

We believe every child is an artist in motion. Our classes go beyond steps, nurturing creativity, emotional expression, and a personal connection to movement. Through storytelling, music, and improvisation, we help young dancers develop their unique artistic voice from the very beginning.
